ICMA for Quatuor pour la fin de temps C 840 121 B

The recording
C 840 121 Bof Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the end of time in the series “Salzburg Festival Documents” (2008) is being awarded a major international prize: it has won the chamber music category in the International Classical Music Awards. The award ceremony took place on 18 March 2013 in Milan. The international jury, comprising 17 critics from the most important music magazines and radio stations from 13 countries, praised the ensemble playing of Carolin and Jörg Widmann, Nicolas Altstaedt and Alexander Lonquich and their “great dignity and sense of proportion … while revelling in the score's joyous play of colours”.
